Derya Umut Kulalı is an Electrical and Electronics Engineering student at Eskişehir Technical University, expected to graduate in June 2026. He focuses on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and large language models, with hands-on experience in building AI-driven solutions and data-driven systems. He has completed internships as an AI Engineering Intern at the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Industry and Technology and as a Machine Learning Engineering Intern at Ecodation, where he worked on machine learning applications such as customer classification and AI-based predictive systems. In addition to industry experience, he co-founded InformatIQ, a community dedicated to data science, machine learning, and cloud technologies, bringing together students and professionals to collaborate and share knowledge. His technical interests include large language models (LLMs), transformers, deep learning, and PyTorch. He is also actively involved in AI research, contributing to publications on topics such as time-series foundation models, neuromorphic computing, medical language models, and climate-focused AI systems. He aims to work on innovative AI systems and contribute to research and real-world applications at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data science, and emerging technologies.
